Inclusion Criteria

1) Recurrent HSV-1/-2 infection with visible macroscopic lesions (ulcera, bubble, erythema) of urogenital or anal mucosa with known chronic recurring HSV-infection of u / anal tract or urogenital-tract
2) Age = 18 Years
3) Capacity to communicate with the investigator
4) Capacity to consent
5) Capacty of given consent in written form

Exclusion Criteria

1) Any disease or condition that will interfer with the sampling or any medical reason that will hamper the sampling of material according to the investigator.
2) Lack of written informed consent
