Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Adult patients over 19 years of age undergoing robotic esophagectomy

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\) emergency operation
  • 2\) open surgery
  • 3\) laparoscopic surgery without using a robot
  • 4\) planned concomitant major surgery
  • 5\) patients at risk of pneumothorax
  • 6\) patients with elevated ICP
  • 7\) pulmonary morbidity requiring preoperative oxygen therapy
  • 8\) use of a circulatory assist device before surgery (ECMO, IABP)
  • 9\) use of preoperative tracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation
  • 10\) when the value of positive end expiratory pressure applied during surgery changes
