入选标准
- •All patients of age group 6 months to 5 years, admitted with acute lower respiratory tract infections fulfilling any three of the following eligibility criteria will be enrolled :
- •1.fever and/or cough,
- •2.tachypnea for age :respiratory rate: 6months to 12 months >50/min,
- •13 months to 5 years >40/min.,
- •3.accessory muscle use
- •4.wheeze and/or crepitation on auscultation.

- •All patients with
- •1.Severe acute malnutrition
- •2.Congenital heart disease
- •3.Chronic systemic illness
- •4.Gastrointestinal malformations
- •5.Patients on Micronutrient supplementation containing selenium
