Patients above 18 years of age with tobacco habits will be included in the study and will be divided into 2 groups:
Group I: Control group of 74 healthy individuals with tobacco habit
Group II: Case group of 74 OPMD patients with tobacco habits
Patients with alcohol habit
Pregnant and lactating women.
Subjects with previous treatment for OPMDs.
Subjects with any collagen diseases or immune mediated disorders.
Subjects with history of head and neck tumors, breast cancer and gastric cancer.
Subjects with prior neoplastic surgeries and cancer metastases.
Other diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis, infectious diseases, coronary artery disease, cardiovascular disorders where alteration in salivary biomarkers level can be present.
