The modified anterolateral approach of intra-articular knee injection in osteoarthritis of the knee , A Randomized Controlled Trial

Of 32 injections performed through modified anterolateral approach and other 32 injections performed through conventional anterolateral approach, both of needle introduction pain and needle injection pain score (VAS) from modified anterolateral approach ( 2.94 +- 1.32 and 2.03 +- 1.66 , respectively ) are less than conventional anterolateral approach (4.03 +- 1.69 and 3.50+- 2.17 , respectively ) significantly ( P-Value 0.005 and P-Value 0.003 , respectively).
