Study Overview

Brief Summary

This study is a randomized, single blinded,parallel group to ascertain anaerobic training and its effects on physical,physiological and psychological parameters in soccer players,  that is being conducted at Jamia Millia Islamia. The subjects are being recruited from the university soccer team. Theprimary outcome will be vertical jump test, agility t-test, 20-meters sprint test, testosteronelevel, cortisol level, stat and trait anxiety level and sleep quality.

Inclusion Criteria

  • •soccer players.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •if any athlete has following problems/conditions Neurological symptoms in upper/lower quadrant History/existence of fracture/dislocation in upper/lower quadrant History/existence of any surgical procedures(ORIF/arthroscopy etc.) on extremity/spinal joints History/existence of contracture in upper/lower quadrant Symptomatic low back pain Fatty and obese athlete.

Outcomes

Primary Outcomes

Physical performance parameters – VERTICAL JUMP TEST, AGILITY T-TEST, 20-METERS SPRINT TEST.

Time Frame: base line | 7th week

Physiological marker – TESTOSTERONE, CORTISOLE LEVEL

Time Frame: base line | 7th week

Secondary Outcomes

  • Psychological parameters – STAT AND TRAIT ANXIETY LEVEL, SLEEP QUALITY(base line)
