入排标准
入选标准
- •1. Patients (18-65 years) intubated for a duration of more than 48 hours and on controlled mechanical ventilator admitted in intensive care units, AIIMS New Delhi due to any medical/surgical reason.
排除标准
- •1. Patients with pre-existing neuromuscular diseases (myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), cervical cord injury, diaphragmatic palsy
- •2. Pregnancy
- •3. Morbidly obese patient
- •4. Patients with poor diaphragmatic USG windows (presence of surgical dressings/ burns etc.)
- •5. Patients with a current pneumothorax or pneumomediastinum
- •6. Acute/worsening respiratory failure at or before day 3, any new onset respiratory failure defined as RR >35/min, P/F ratio <150 mm Hg, Type 1/2 failure.
- •7. Patients extubated before day3
- •8. Patients on long term steroid treatment
