Male or Female > 18 years
1. Cholecystectomy for malignant disease
2. Patients with history of alcohol consumption
3. Haemochromatosis
4. Wilsonâ??s disease
5. Autoimmune hepatitis
6. Primary biliary cirrhosis
7. Sclerosing cholangitis
8. Biliary obstruction
9. Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency
10. Ischaemic cardiac or cerebrovascular disease
11. Use of oestrogens, amiodarone, steroids, tamoxifen or lipid lowering agents
12. Viral hepatitis (positive serum hepatitis B surface antigen or positive serum hepatitis C â??antibody)
13. Pregnancy
14. Patients with history of bowel resection
15. Diabetes mellitus
16. BMI > 30
