1. Pregnant or possibly pregnant 2. A history of allergies to hochuekkito 3. Severe hypertension (>= 180/110 mmHg) 4. Onset of cardiovascular disease within 1 month 5. Severe complications including blood disorders, active malignancies, infectious diseases, thyroid disorders, and depression 6. Using steroids, immunosuppressants (e.g. cyclosporine), and glycyrrhizin 7. Using other Kampo medicines 8. Participating in another clinical trial 9. Participants who are judged to be inappropriate
