- •Patients aged 18 and over
- •Patients who are anticoagulated with a vitamin K antagonist for a pre-existing condition and require a simple dental surgical procedure (tooth extraction, even if this involves a localized osteotomy or intraoral abscess incision)
- •Inpatient stay to monitor postoperative bleeding or secondary inpatient admission in the event of postoperative bleeding
- •Inclusion period: 01/2018- 12/2020
排除标准
- •Patients younger than 18 years. Other congenital or acquired coagulation disorders (also simultaneously), e.g. B. cirrhosis of the liver, von Willebrandt-Jürgens syndrome, therapy with direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC), sole therapy with platelet aggregation inhibitors. Extensive surgeries in the mouth, jaw and face (e.g. trauma, tumor, metal removal, abscess with extraoral incision), other dental surgical interventions e.g. wisdom tooth osteotomy, cystectomy, dental implantation, augmentation)

Administration of low risk oral anticoagulation agents to patients with pre-stage atrial fibrillation for stroke prophylaxisAtrial fibrillation (AF) is one cause of stroke. Stroke rate is increased in patients with atrial high rate episodes (AHRE, an early stage of AF) as well, even if stroke rates are lower when compared to stroke rates in patients with diagnosed AF.
