Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • (1\) Patients aged 20 years or older who have explained the contents of the study and obtained written consent (informed consent) to participate in the study.
  • (2\) Patients with scheduled surgery for ASA (American Society of Anesthesiology Preoperative Status Classification) 1 or 2 performed under general anesthesia
  • (3\) Patients who insert a catheter that can measure blood pressure into an artery after induction of general anesthesia in the operating room. This catheter is inserted when it is judged necessary for surgery, and is not inserted only for this research purpose.

Exclusion Criteria

  • (1\) difficult tracheal intubation is expected before surgery
  • (2\) an inability to wear the sensor due to deformity of fngers or an inadequate signal due to hypoperfusion of the fngers
  • (3\) cardiac or pulmonary disease (e.g. chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, interstitial pneumonia)
  • (4\) preoperative anemia due to hemoglobinopathies (e.g. sickle cell disease, thalassemia).
