1. Patients with chronic periodontitis.
2. Age group 18 - 50 years of both genders.
3. Presence of atleast more then or equal to 20 natural teeth in both upper and lower arches
4. Probing depth more then or equal to 4mm and less then or equal to 7mm
1. Subjects who smoke
2. Pregnant and lactating females
3. Subjects with history of uncontrolled systemic diseases affecting the periodontium
4. Subjects allergic to medications.
5. Subjects who have received surgical or non surgical periodontal therapy 6 months prior to study.
6. Post menopausal women
7. Subjects with inflammatory/genetic bone disorder
