A study to evaluate etiological factor in newly diagnosed female patients of Osteoarthritis (Sandhigatavata),as they are not separately mentioned,so it was decided to study common etiological factor of Vatavyadhi i.e suppression of urges of Defecation, Urination and flatus.

Inclusion Criteria

1.Age group:18 to 70 years.

2.Gender-Only female patients will be selected irrespective of caste,occupation,socio-economic status.

3.Clinically diagnosed female patients of Sandhigatavata.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Clinically diagnosed patients of Sandhivikara like Aamvata, Vatarakta, Kroshtukshirsh, Grudhrasi, Khanja, Pangulya.

2. Patients having Vatavyadhi other than Sandhigatavata.

3. Patients having any apparent major systemic complication or major diseases like Tuberculosis of joints, malignancy of bones.

4. Pregnant woman.

5. Adharniyavega-

a) Shukra, b) Chardi, c) Shavathu, d) Udgar, e) Jrumbha, f) Kshudha, g) Trushna, h) Aashru, i) Nidra, j) Nishwas.
