简要总结
Normative data on hand grip strength and manual dexterity are essential for determining developmental stages, assessing the severity of disabilities, evaluating rehabilitation outcomes, and examining upper limb function. They also allow for meaningful comparisons between typical and atypical children based on age, gender, race or ethnicity, and body measurements. Therefore, it is crucial to establish region specific norms to support hand therapists in accurately assessing impairments and monitoring patient progress. However, there is a lack of comprehensive normative data on grip strength and manual dexterity for children and adolescents worldwide. The purpose of this study is to develop reference values for grip strength and dexterity function for adolescents in Kerala.
