- •Patients with acute hypoxemic respiratory failure defined as hypoxemia PaO2 <60 or with 20% drop in saturation from baseline with indication for intubation
排除标准
- •1.Those not consenting for the study
- •2.Pregnancy
- •3.Contraindication to nasopharyngeal cannula like nasopharyngeal obstruction or blockage, nasal bone fractures, basilar skull fracture
- •4.Difficult airway due to reduced neck movement, mouth opening, Mallampatti score of class >2.
