Brief Summary

The need of the study is to  compare between strength, agility, flexibility and balance but all these parameters are not taken along with body mass index and handgrip strength. The aim of the study is to compare strength, agility, flexibility, dynamic balance, body mass index and hand grip strength between volleyball, basketball and handball players. The objective of the study is to quantify strength, agility, flexibility, dynamic balance, body mass index and handgrip strength between volleyball, basketball and handball players.

The methodology of the study reveals the study is comparative observational study, conducted in Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University,kanpur and Greenpark stadium, kanpur with 2 years of study duration.Male players(age 18-25years) who are playing volleyball, basketball and handball since 2 years have been chosen as study population. A purposive sampling method and the sample size of 66 has been selected.

Outcome measures like Standing broad jump test, 20m shuttle run test, sit n reach test, Modified bass test, Weight, Height, BMI and Hand dynamometer. Strength, Agility, Flexibility, Dynamic balance, BMI and Handgrip strength as independent and volleyabll, basketball and handball players as dependent scale.

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1.Players age should be 18 to 25 years.
  • Only male players will be taken.
  • Players who play basketball, volleyball and handball from 2 years.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Musculoskeletal conditions
  • Recent injury within 6 months duration
  • Any neurological, psychological and cardiac illness.
  • Any systemic illness at the time of training.

Outcomes

Primary Outcomes

Standing broad jump test, modified bass test, sit n reach test, 20m shuttle run test, Hand dynamometer, Height, weight, BMI

Time Frame: 1 time

Secondary Outcomes

  • Volleyball, Basketball and Handball players(one time)
