Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •All consenting singleton pregnancies presenting to antenatal clinic after 12 weeks of gestation.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Pregnancies below 12 weeks
  • •Multiple gestation.
  • •Pregnancies complicated by haemoglobinopathies,
  • •Established iron deficiencies anaemia
  • •Chronic maternal illness eg Tuberculosis, malignancies.
  • •Maternal smoking.
