Inclusion Criteria
single canaled teeth needing root canal therapy because of irreversible pulpitis with moderate to severe pain (VAS 4-10)
Exclusion criteria: teeth with acute apical periodontitis; teeth with necrotic pulp; patient presenting with abscess or cellulitis
