Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • (1\) Large or massive rotator cuff tear requiring rotator cuff repair
  • (2\) The patients with defect at tendon insertion during arthroscopic rotator cuff repair

Exclusion Criteria

  • (1\) Previous surgery history at affected shoulder
  • (2\) Previous fracture history at affected shoulder
  • (3\) Previous infection history at affected shoulder
  • (4\) Prmiary or secondary osteoarthritis
  • (5\) Indication for reverse shoulder arthroplasty because of advanced cuff tear arthropathy of shoulder joint
  • (6\) Massive rotator cuff tear requiring superior capsule reconstruction
  • (7\) Patients with neurological symptoms, inability to follow postoperative instructions, or non\-cooperative
  • (8\) Patients judged to be difficult to participate in the study due to cognitive impairment
