Inclusion Criteria

1.Diagnosis of an AN or atypical AN according to DSM 5
2.first or second inpatient admission due to AN
3.Travel from department to place of residence within one hour
4.Consent (written consent) of patients and guardians.

Exclusion Criteria

1.Organic brain disorder
2.Other severe mental disorders such as psychosis or bipolar disorder
3.Substance dependence or –abuse (except nicotine)
4.Serious self-injurious behaviour
5.low intelligence (IQ = 80)
6.severe simultaneous physical illness
7.Insufficient knowledge of German
Exclusion criteria when entering HoT (at randomization) to avoid hazard:
1.Persistent severe eating disorder (e.B. nasogastric tube feeding required, no independent eating at home possible)
2.severe psychological and/or somatic comorbidity (suicidality or severe self-harm)
3.Insufficient weight gain (less than 1.5 kg in the last 4 weeks)
4.Vomiting or laxative abuse more than 2 times/day for more than a week
