•1. Candidate should have a myopia between (-1.5 to 10 D) and astigmatism up to (-4D).
•2. With documented stability of refraction, as demonstrated by a change of less than or
•equal to 1 D of myopia and (-0.5 D) of astigmatism at least12 months in the preoperative
•examination.
•3. Candidates with corneal thickness of 500Î¼ and less, Minimal corneal thickness of 470Î¼
•and above on orbscan and calculated residual stromal bed of minimum 300Î¼.

•1. Unstable refractive error for < 1year.
•2. Insufficient corneal thickness for the proposed ablation depth.
•3. Any other refractive error other than simple myopia and myopic astigmatism.
•4. Abnormalities of the cornea (eg. Keratoconus or other corneal ectasia, thinning, edema,
•interstitial keratitis, extensive vascularization, corneal opacity, epithelial dystrophy
•5. Patient undergoing PRK for previous complication of LASIK or FEMTOLASIK.
•6. Uncontrolled external disease of the eye (eg. Dry eye, atopy, and blepharitis).
•7. Previous history of vitreoretinal surgery or any other intra ocular and extra ocular
•8. Age group less than 21 years and more than 40 years.
•9. Monocular patient.
•10. Patient on any drug treatment which produce dry eye (MAO inhibitors, alpha agonists,
•beta blockers, thiazide diuretics, NSAIDS).
•11. Uncontrolled connective tissue or autoimmune disease.
•12. Pregnant or nursing woman.
