Inclusion Criteria
Anaesthesia residents of 1st , 2nd , 3rd years
Orthopaedic residents 1st , 2nd , 3rd years
General surgery residents 1st , 2nd , 3rd years
Nurses of orthopaedic and general surgery wards above 30 years of age and with atleast 2 years of experience in surgical ward
Exclusion Criteria
All those who refuse to take part in study.

Name Time Method To study the awareness of knowledge and practices of preoperative fasting guidelines before anaesthesia for elective surgery among resident and nurses of general surgery, orthopaedic and anaesthesia departments and assess the deviation from ISA guidelines.Timepoint: There is no specific timeline related to the study. A questionannaire shall be given to residents and nurses after they give consent whenever they are free to take part
