Inclusion Criteria
(1) were the first stroke to have hemiplegia during the previous 12 months
(2) were able to understand and follow simple verbal instructions
(3) had a Korean version of mini-mental sate examination (MMSE-K) score of at least 21 points
(4) had mild to moderate motor impairment(total FMA upper extremity scores of 26-56)
Exclusion Criteria
(1) had a psychiatric disorder or dementia
(2) had a orthopedic disorder
(3) had a apraxia or hemineglect
