Osteoarthritis is the second most common rheumatologic problem and it is the most frequent joint disease with the prevalence rate of Osteoarthritis is total 14.8 % in which knee osteoarthritis prevalence rate is 10.8%. India and 3.62% in the region where I am going to conduct the study. OA is more common in women than men. Nearly, 45% of women over the age of 65 years have symptoms while radiological evidence is found in 70% of those over 65 years.OA was estimated to be the 10th leading cause of nonfatal burden. OA is a major joint involving disease which hampers day to day activity so there is a need for more promising treatment other than pain killers and NSAID’s. To increase the specificity in treatment of Vatavyadhi using various oil preparations mentioned by different Acharya’s so as to improve the quality of life in elderly people

入选标准
- •Patient of both genders Patient in the age group above 18 years and below 70 years.
- •Radiological evidences of Osteoarthritis of knee joint.
- •Pain and restricted movement of the knee joint.
- •Presence of crepitus, pain and swelling of knee joint.
排除标准
- •Patients suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis, Rheumatic fever, Rheumatic Heart disease, Gouty arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis, sciatica Patient with congenital or acquired abnormality related to joint.
- •Patients associated with simple or compound fracture, associated with trauma.
- •K/C/O Immuno compromised patients Patient suffering from Infective conditions like Hepatitis B, HIV, TB, and carcinoma etc.
- •Patient undergoing steroid therapy.
