Inclusion Criteria
1. Patients of any undiagnosed hepatic disease (after extensive investigation - serological as well as imaging) requiring a liver biopsy.
2. Patients of NAFLD who need LBx.
3. Alcoholic hepatitis patients needing biopsy.
4. Any patient with unexplained transaminesemia > 1.5 times ULN needing a liver biopsy as advised by Hepatologist.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Any liver Space occupying lesion suspicious of malignancy
2. Platelet count <80,000
3. INR > 1.5
4. Pregnancy
5. Severe cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases.
6. Recent use of antiplatelet agents within 5 days of the procedure.
7. Unwilling to provide informed consent.
