score above 15 in the neck disability index
had a history of neck pain of greater than three months duration.

Exclusion Criteria

cervical disc problems
cervical spondylosis
history of previous neck trauma
head injuries
ankylosing spondylitis
osteoporosis
cervical rib
post-surgical neck conditions
subjects allergic to kinesio tape.
