Computer vision syndrome (CVS) is such a disease, and associated mainly with improper & long standing use of computer. The American Optometric Association defines CVS as that "complex of eye and vision problems related to near work which are experienced during use of computer". CVS is characterized by visual symptoms like eye strain, dry eyes, eye irritation, blurred vision, headache, watering of eyes, redness, double vision etc.

入选标准
- •Computer users complaining of eye strain, irritation, blurred vision, redness, burning eyes, excessive tears, double vision and headache.
- •Patients having minimum three symptoms of CVS.
- •Continuous 3hr/day and more than that exposure to any type of video display terminals(VDT) like desktop, laptop and similar devices.
排除标准
- •Patients not willing for registration.
- •Patients suffering from systemic and metabolic disorders like poly arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, auto immune diseases, etc.
- •3.Use of non-specific B-blockers for longer time by glaucoma patients.
- •4.Patients using contact lenses.
- •Case complicated with acute/chronic infections and or inflammations of lid, conjunctiva, cornea and sclera.
