- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Absence of pain, edema, abscess, fistula and pathological mobility in the period of two years, verified by dental clinical examination before and after intervention.
Absence of diffuse or surrounding bone thinning, and pathological root resorption (internal or external) in the two-year period, verified by dental radiographic examination before and after intervention.;No clinical failure was observed, such as pain, edema, abscess, fistula and pathological mobility in the one-year period, verified by pre and post-intervention dental clinical examination.
There was no significant difference in the radiographic outcomes of the teeth and tissue adjacent to the 30 days (P <0.005), however, 1 tooth treated with new experimental MTA presented internal resorption at 30 and 90 days and 1 tooth treated with MTA cotnrole presented the same findings 180 days in a one-year period, verified by pre and post-intervention dental radiographic examination.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Absence of dental crown color change in two years, verified by visual clinical method before and after intervention.;There was a statistically significant association between pulpotomy and control MTA and tooth discoloration (P <0.000); 25 (89.30%) teeth treated with control MTA and none (0%) of those treated with the new experimental MTA presented tooth discoloration in the period of one year after intervention.
