50 Years to 59 Years (—)

Inclusion Criteria

  • Able to stand and walk independently with or without an assistive device.
  • Did not participate in regular structured exercise during the previous 3 months, defined as structured physical activity at least 3 times per week for at least 30 minutes per session.
  • Demonstrated adequate cognitive function, defined as a Montreal Cognitive Assessment Thai version score of 25 points or higher, to ensure understanding of study procedures and exercise instructions.
  • Free from acute medical conditions, including severe cardiovascular, respiratory, or neurological disorders, that could make exercise unsafe or affect balance and gait.
  • Had sufficient vision and hearing, with correction if necessary, to safely follow study instructions and perform the exercises.
  • Willing to provide written informed consent and voluntarily participate in the study.
  • Available and willing to complete the 12 week intervention program and all scheduled follow up assessments.
  • Had a reachable telephone number and agreed to be contacted by the research team for follow up during the study period.
  • Able to read and write Thai sufficiently to understand study instructions and complete study related records.
  • For participants assigned to the control group, agreed not to participate in any structured exercise program during the study period.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Had severe musculoskeletal disorders, such as advanced osteoarthritis, recent fractures, or joint replacement within the past 6 months;
  • Were currently using sedative medications known to significantly affect balance and gait (antihypertensive drugs, antiepileptic drugs, antidepressants, antihistamines); or
  • Were actively engaged in other structured exercise or rehabilitation programs during the study period.
