Study Overview
Brief Summary
This cross-sectional study will be conducted to evaluate correlation of sinus membrane thickness in periodontally healthy and stage III Periodontitis patients with anatomical parameters using CBCT.
Total of 80 subjects with age range of 19-65 years including both males and females visiting the Department of Periodontics at Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur will be recruited.
Total of 80 participants, healthy and with Stage III periodontitis, as per the inclusion criteria will participate in the study.
The participants will be divided Patients will be divided as:
a) Group I- 40 Periodontally healthy patients requiring implant treatment (presence of at least one of first and second molars or second premolars in each left or right quadrants)
b) Group II- 40 Stage III Periodontitis patients requiring periodontal surgical treatment (presence of at least one of first and second molars or second premolars in each left or right quadrants, PPD > 6mm ,CAL > 5mm )
Written informed consent will be taken from the patients who wish to enroll in the study. Sinus membrane thickness is evaluated using Cone Beam Computed Tomography. PPD and CAL will be assessed clinically.
