Inclusion Criteria
Patients scheduled for elective Hip resurfacing arthroplasty
ASA I and II including both the sexes
Age group 25 to 75 years
Exclusion Criteria
ASA III and IV
Patient refusal to take part in the study
Morbid obesity BMI greater equal to 40
History of focal neurological deficit
History of sensory or motor disorders of limb to be operated
History of allergy to local anaesthetics clonidine
History of regular opioid use
Infection at puncture site for both approaches of block
Inability to comprehend NRS pain assessment scale
Inability to understand the use of PCA device
