A Study Promoting the Influenza Response in the ElderlyThe trial is aimed to improve the efficiency of the seasonal influenza vaccine. Healthy volunteers who are positive for cytomegalovirus (CMV) will be recruited and given anti-viral treatment. We hypothesise that this will reduce their viral load and thereby reduce the proportion of T cells committed to CMV. This will then facilitate the development of an optimal response against the influenza vaccine.EUCTR2011-000092-13-GB
