Scheduled for single level lumbar discectomy

Exclusion Criteria

Participant refusal

Allergic to study drugs

Cervical or thoracic level laminectomies

Spine-fixation surgery

History of previous spine surgery

Neuromuscular disease

Psychological disease

Inability to understand visual analog scale (VAS)

Systemic use of steroids
