Inclusion Criteria

Individuals who required ceramic restorations in the region of the 2nd right premolar to the left 2nd premolar of the maxillary arch were selected, of both sexes and varied ages, with vital teeth and good condition of periodontal health attested by clinical examination.

Exclusion Criteria

Patients who made continuous use of analgesics and / or anti-inflammatory drugs were excluded, as such drugs could mask the results.
