Inclusion Criteria
1.Patients with Fasting blood sugar greater than or equal to 126 mg/dl
2. Patients with Post prandial blood sugar greater than 200 mg/dl and less than 350 mg/dl
3. Patients with classical sign and symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes mellitus
4. Patients with HbA1c greater than 6.4% and less than 10%
5.Newly diagnosed patients (within one year).
6.Patients willing to provide consent to participate in the study.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Pregnant women and lactating mothers
2. Patients with Type 1 Diabetes mellitus
3. Patients with serious hepatic,cardiac or renal disorders.
4. Drug induced serious illness
