1. Children 10-13 and adults more than 18 years of age
2. Fixed appliances (buccal technique / both jaws)
3. At least 22 teeth with brackets
4. After leveling and aligning
5. Stainless steel ligatures on conventional brackets or self-ligating brackets

No mental or movement disorders

Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Time (duration) of effective tooth brushing will be measured in the form of mm:ss (mm: minutes, ss: seconds) at the first and second visit after enrolment by means of an electronic digital stopwatch. For the statistical analyses, these data will be converted to seconds (continuous outcome).
