Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.Systemically healthy patients aged 35\-70 yrs. (no history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases, immunocompromised conditions as well as any condition that could influence the periodontal status).
- •2\.Patients with no history of antibiotic, anti\-inflammatory drugs, anti\-oxidants and immunosuppressants use for at least 3 months before study.
- •3\.Patients with moderate chronic periodontitis according to the AAP 1999 Classification (with a probing depth of \=4mm and \=6mm)
Exclusion Criteria
- •2\.Betel quid or tobacco chewers
- •3\.Pregnant and lactating women
- •4\.Patients who underwent any periodontal treatment in last one year
