•1. Neck pain for atleast 3 months (or more).
•2. Subjects having unilateral and bilateral pain involving the upper trapezius and levator scapulae muscles.
•3. Presence of myofascial trigger points in upper trapezius and levator scapulae muscles

•1. Orofascial pain and temporomandibular disorders according to the Reseach Diagnostic Criteria of Temporomandibular disorders (RDC/TMD)
•2. A history of traumatic injuries (e.g., contusion, fractures, and whiplash injuries)
•3. Systemic diseases such as fibromyalgia, systemic lupus erythematosis, and psoriatic arthritis.
•4. Neurologic disorders (e.g., trigeminal neuralgia or occipital neuralgia).
•5. Concomitant medical diagnosis of any primary headache (tension type or migraine).
•6. Cervical spine surgery
•7. Clinical diagnosis of cervical radiculopathy or myelopathy.
•8. Needle phobia
•9. History of previous physical therapy intervention fpr the cervical region.
•10. Furthermore, subjects with shoulder diseases like tendonitis, bursitis, and capsulitis will be excluded.
