入排标准
入选标准
- •1. Neck pain for atleast 3 months (or more).
- •2. Subjects having unilateral and bilateral pain involving the upper trapezius and levator scapulae muscles.
- •3. Presence of myofascial trigger points in upper trapezius and levator scapulae muscles
排除标准
- •1. Orofascial pain and temporomandibular disorders according to the Reseach Diagnostic Criteria of Temporomandibular disorders (RDC/TMD)
- •2. A history of traumatic injuries (e.g., contusion, fractures, and whiplash injuries)
- •3. Systemic diseases such as fibromyalgia, systemic lupus erythematosis, and psoriatic arthritis.
- •4. Neurologic disorders (e.g., trigeminal neuralgia or occipital neuralgia).
- •5. Concomitant medical diagnosis of any primary headache (tension type or migraine).
- •6. Cervical spine surgery
- •7. Clinical diagnosis of cervical radiculopathy or myelopathy.
- •8. Needle phobia
- •9. History of previous physical therapy intervention fpr the cervical region.
- •10. Furthermore, subjects with shoulder diseases like tendonitis, bursitis, and capsulitis will be excluded.
