简要总结

Forward Head Posture (FHP), often accompanied by scapular dyskinesia and thoracic spine stiffness, is commonly seen in individuals with prolonged screen use and sedentary lifestyles. These musculoskeletal imbalances contribute to pain, postural dysfunction, and reduced functional mobility. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Functional Movement Therapy (FMT) as a comprehensive rehabilitation approach in managing FHP. Functional Movement Therapy integrates strengthening, stabilization, and neuromuscular re-education to correct altered movement patterns. Unlike conventional stretching-focused therapy, FMT targets the root of dysfunction by restoring thoracic mobility and scapular mechanics, leading to improved posture and reduced pain.

A total of 70 participants with FHP will be selected using purposive sampling and randomly assigned into two groups. The study will be conducted at DY Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune. The intervention duration is 4 weeks, with FMT sessions conducted 5 days per week, focusing on Thoracic mobility drills Scapular stabilization exercises Deep cervical flexor training  Postural correction techniques

Outcome measures such as intersegmental thoracic mobility and scapular kinematics will be assessed pre- and post-intervention to evaluate the efficacy of the protocol. The study aims to provide evidence for integrating FMT in clinical rehabilitation for postural syndromes like FHP
