Brief Summary

This open labelled single centric randomized prospective clinical trial to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of a Siddha regimen Thiripala Chooranam Nerunjil kudineer and Jalamanjari Chenduram for 90 days at Ayothidoss Pandithar hospital chennai in managing class 1 and 2 obesity participants aged 18-60 years with bmi  greater than or equal to 30 kg per meter square will be randomized into two groups

group 1 siddha regimen only and group two siddha regimen with low calorie diet the primary objective is to achieve a 5 to 10 percent reduction in bmi and anthropometric measurements while secondary objectives include assessing changes in laboratory parameters and quality of life the study includes known case of diabetes mellitus obesity bmi greater than or equal to 30 kg per meter square obesity class one bmi 30 to 34.9 kg per meter square obesity class two bmi 35 to 39.9 kg per meter square and excludes vulnerable groups hypothyroidism and malignancy aiming to provide evidence on the efficacy of siddha medicine in obesity management

Inclusion Criteria

K/C/O Diabetes Mellitus Obesity-BMI greater than or equal to 30kg/m^2 Obesity class l-BMI 30 to 34.9kg/m^2 Obesity class ll-BMI 35 to 39.9kg/m^2.

Exclusion Criteria

Vulnerable groups (Pregnancy and lactation) Hypothyroidism Malignancy.
