- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The significance of the difference between the determined parameters (CRP, IL-6 and blood culture) from infant blood and the determined parameters from umbilical vein blood is the primary outcome of this study. The determination is made immediately postnatally by taking blood from the umbilical vein and from the child's vein. From a case number of approx. 65, one could already distinguish a correlation (intraclass) of 0.9 from a correlation of only 0.8 with 90% power.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Does the result of diagnostics from umbilical cord vein blood change the therapeutic procedure?
