Inclusion Criteria

1.Symptoms lasting >3 months despite conservative treatments including physiotherapy and medications.

2.Presence of active trigger points in the upper trapezius muscles (at least one).

3.Presence of at least one taut band on manual palpation.

4.NRS score 6 and above.

Exclusion Criteria

1.Presence of any history of cervical radiculopathy or degenerative condition,

2.Presence of any surgery or trauma to the neck during last year,

3. Previous injection for MPS treatment during last 6 months,

4. Confirmed diagnosis of cognitive disorders, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and/or metabolic diseases like hypothyroidism and diabetes mellitus.
