Cases
1)Adult patients both males and females more than or equal to 18 years of age
2)Newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis (Drug susceptible),
3)Completed ATT(6 months) treatment.
4)Patients willing to provide Informed consent.
Inclusion criteria-Controls:
1)Males and females more than or equal to 18 years of age.
2)No history of cardiopulmonary or neuromuscular diseases.
3)No recent abdominal or thoracic surgery.
4)Who are able to comprehend commands for the testing.
5)Willing to provide informed consent.
1)Patients with extra pulmonary tuberculosis
2)PTB with neuromuscular disease and/or with hemodynamic instability.
3)History of smoking (However smoking is one of the main etiological factor for pulmonary disease)
4)History of COPD
5)PTB patients with Vitamin B12 deficiency
6)PTB patients with peripheral neuropathy
7)Recent abdominal or thoracic surgery
8)Patients who are not able to comprehend commands making testing impossible.
9)Patients on active/ongoing treatment for malignancy.
10)Patients having CKD or CLD
