Inclusion Criteria
all patients undergoing elective esophagectomy surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital
Exclusion Criteria
Patients who are inoperable as per surgical decision, or 2. those who die within 72 hours of surgery, 3. patients with preoperative chronic renal insufficiency (serum creatinine >1.5 mg/dl)4. Patients with past history of acute kidney injury (based on medical records) and 5. Patients receiving renal replacement therapy currently or in past
