Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Any patient who required bilateral extractions of maxillary first or second
- •premolars indicated for orthodontic treatment under local anaesthesia.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) Known or suspected allergies or sensitivities to sulfites, amide type local anesthetics or
- •any ingredients in the anesthetic solution.
- •2\) Concomitant cardiac or neurological disease.
- •3\) Pregnancy / lactation.
- •4\) Concomitant use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants,
- •phenothiazine, vasodepressor drugs or ergot type oxytocic drugs.
- •5\) Subjects who were on sedatives.
- •6\) Subjects who had taken aspirin, acetaminophen, NSAIDS 24 hours prior to administration
- •of local anesthetic.
- •7\) Inability to give Informed consent.
