- •Eligible for surgical resection.

- •use of, or hypersensitivity to, HMGCoA reductase inhibitors (statins)
- •use of other lipid lowering drugs (e.g. Fibrates)
- •use of NSAIDs
- •Patients requiring radiotherapy, chemotherapy or endoscopic stent therapy during the treatment period and thus prior to surgery.
