Brief Summary

1.Studywill focus on finding the prevalence ofscapular dyskinesisin computer professionals and determine the exact relation of Intrinsic& Extrinsic factors associated with abnormalscapular positions in computer professionals.

2.Subjectswere included as per the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Subjects that showntheir interest and given their consent will participate in the study. Anobservational method (Yes/No) will used to assess scapular dyskinesis. Computerprofessionals were classified into two groups. Those subjects who hasalteration in the posture and scapular kinematics (like inferior borderprominence, medial border prominence or scapular border prominence according tothe classification of scapular dyskinesis by kibler) having scapular dyskinesis(Yes). Those subjects which did not show any scapular deviation were considerednot having scapular dyskinesis(No)(Kibleret al 2013).

3.VariousIntrinsic factors (Forward shoulder posture, Modified lateral scapular slidetest, Rounded shoulder, Muscle length, Isometric muscle length, Posteriorcapsular tightness) and Extrinsic factors (Ergonomics and stress) responsiblefor abnormal posture in computer professionals with proper outcome measureswere evaluated to understand  theirrelations with shoulder/neck, and various scapular abnormalities in computerprofessionals.
