Inclusion Criteria
1.Age between 14-18 years.
2.Patient’s requiring bilateral nonsurgical extraction of maxillary and mandibular premolars for orthodontic reasons.
3. Willingness to follow the investigator’s instructions exactly.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Medically compromised patients.
2.Those with periodontally weak teeth.
3.Those whose premolars were affected by dental caries.
4. Any root canal treated tooth.
5.Patients who were taking drugs which interfere with pain response.
6.Patients who refused informed consent.

Name Time Method 1.To assess and compare the incidence of root fractures intraoperatively between the two groups. <br/ ><br>2.To evaluate and compare the duration of the procedure performed by Periotome and peizotome technique. <br/ ><br>3. To assess and compare the gingival laceration immediately postoperatively between the two techniques. <br/ ><br>4. To assess and compare the pain post-operatively performed by Periotome and peizotome technique. <br/ ><br>5. To assess and compare the requirement of analgesics consumed by patients post-operatively between the two groups. <br/ ><br>6.To evaluate and compare socket healing performed by Periotome and peizotome techniques.Timepoint: 1st day <br/ ><br>3rd day <br/ ><br>5th day <br/ ><br>7th day <br/ ><br>21st day
