Inclusion Criteria

1. Expectant mothers in the age group of 20-35 years- not having any systemic disease and no history of allergy to any medication.

2. Residents of tricity (living in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula since 3-4years).

3. Third trimester of pregnancy.

4. Willingness to participate.

5. Those enrolled in the ante-natal clinics of the 3 centers.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Those not willing to participate in the study.

2. Pregnant women with systemic disease.

3. Pregnant women not enrolled in the ante-natal clinics of the 3 centres.

4. Women in the first and second trimester of pregnancy.

Preventive education for the mother will help the child and mother so that dental caries declines for the ageing population due to preventive interception of the mother/parents.
