Patients between the age group 18 and 45 years, both gender male and female.
Patients having cardinal symptoms of Pandu, i.e.
Panduta (pallor)
Shrama (fatigue)
Bhrama (giddiness)
Pindikodveshtana (leg cramps)
Daurbalya (generalised weakness)
Shwasa (dyspnea)
Patients having Hb% below the normal range: Mild and Moderate anaemic patients i.e., patients with Hb within the range 8.0 – 13.0 g/dl in males and 8.0 – 12.0 g/dl in females. (As per WHO, 2010)
Patients with Serum ferritin levels less than 30µl.
Patients suffering from systemic diseases like diabetes mellitus (DM), renal disorders, heart disease, cancer, acquired immune-deficiency syndrome, tuberculosis, hypertension; pregnant and lactating females.
Patients having anaemia due to chronic diseases, including inflammatory disease, malignancy and chronic infection or blood loss.
Patients taking iron in any form of medicine.
Age: less than 18 years and more than 45 years.
Patients with Hb values lower than 8.0 g/dl of blood in both genders.
Patients suffering with nutritional deficiency anaemia other than Iron deficiency i.e, patients with Vit B12 or Folic acid deficiency.

Name Time Method Objective Parameters such as Complete blood count including Hb%, Total leucocyte count (TLC), Differential leucocyte count (DLC), Mean corpuscular volume (MCV),Mean corpuscular haemoglobin (MCH), Mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (MCHC), Platelet count; Iron profile including <br/ ><br>Serum iron, Total iron binding capacity (TIBC), Serum Ferritin; Liver Function Test (LFT) and Renal Function Test (RFT) will be assessed.Timepoint: 8 weeks
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Subjective parameters such as Panduta (Pallor); Daurbalya (generalised weakness); Shirahshoola(headache); Shwasa(dyspnea); Hridspandan (palpitation); Aruchi(anorexia); AkshikutaShotha (periorbitaledema); Pindikodweshtanam (leg cramps); Bhrama (giddiness); Rukshata (dryness) in - Twaka, Nakha, Hastapadatala, Kesha; Gaurava (heaviness)and Shrama (fatigue) will be analysed over a gradation scale.Timepoint: 8 weeks
